Alvin and The Chipmunks: Live on Stage! The Musical

For the first time ever, Alvin & The Chipmunks will hit the road on a nationwide tour.  The world’s most famous chipmunk trio will visit 50 US cities for a total of 80 shows, including Target Center in Minneapolis on Sunday, November 22.  Produced by Twentieth Century FOX and Iconic Entertainment Studios, Alvin & The Chipmunks Live On Stage! is an interactive experience - featuring world-class production, music, special effects, and immersive interactivity to encourage audience participation.  Expect a pop concert and theater event show in one.  

The Chipmunks’ arch-nemesis, Ian Hawke, a villainous ex-music executive, is back in business. He devises a scam to have Alvin and the Chipmunks perform a benefit concert in order to save the original farm site of the legendary Woodstock musical festival. Little do they know, the only one who will benefit is Ian. To prep for the big event, Ian is sending the Chipmunks and the Chipettes on a cross-country warm up tour. They play shows in Nashville, Chicago and Las Vegas, but with mischievous Alvin causing his usual chaos, things never go quite as planned.  The big concert arrives, but not before stranding the tour bus in a giant snowstorm, blowing out all the lights in Las Vegas, and causing a giant food fight at the pre-show party that spills into the audience! The event is a huge success raising lots of money for the cause – and all the while the Chipmunks manage to outthink Ian and his scam and they actually do save Woodstock! A giant pillow fight covers the audience and celebrates the Chipmunks making it home after their long journey. 

The concert-filled show will feature the Chipmunks and the Chipettes performing classics, original songs, and pop hits - including music by One Direction, Maroon 5, Carly Rae Jepsen, Elvis Presley and more.  One audience member will be invited to join the band and play drums for a song.  The show’s world-class team includes TONY winning Lion King costume designer Michael Curry, and the production team that won Billboard Touring Creative Content award for its show Yo Gabba Gabba.  ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: LIVE ON STAGE! is a dynamic, engaging,  fun-filled  show that’s sure to delight fans of all ages and delivers an authentic ALVIN  AND THE CHIPMUNKS live theatre experience with memories to last a lifetime.
