Billy Joel will perform one show in Minneapolis on Saturday, May 16, 2015. This concert marks Joel’s first solo appearance at the arena since 1999.

“Billy Joel is a true music legend and an artist who has played a huge role in Target Center’s history,” said Steve Mattson, Vice President and General Manager – Target Center/AEG Facilities. “He helped put this arena on the map by selling out 4 shows in November 1990. We are so excited to be heading into our 25th year with such an iconic performer highlighting on our event calendar!”

The May 2015 Minneapolis concert will mark Billy Joel’s 10th performance at Target Center. Joel has sold over 171,000 tickets to date at the arena.

Billy Joel is one of the highest grossing international touring artists. Having sold over 150 million albums globally, his music has remained among the most popular in the world. The singer/songwriter/composer is the sixth best-selling recording artist and the third best-selling solo artist of all time.

Joel has received six GRAMMY® Awards, including the prestigious Grammy Legend Award. He has been inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has received numerous industry awards. His music has also served as the inspiration and score for the hit Tony Award-winning Broadway play “Movin’ Out.”
