The Minnesota Lynx win yesterday vs. the Phoenix Mercury has confirmed their home court advantage throughout the WNBA Finals which begins on Sunday, October 9.
In order to accommodate game 1 of the WNBA Finals, Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions just announced that its Target Center and CenturyLink Center (Omaha, NE) show dates have been switched. Target Center’s show originally scheduled for October 9 has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 8 at 7:00 pm.
“A big thanks to the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions and CenturyLink Center management for their assistance. Target Center is excited to be able to host both of these world-class events featuring Olympic gold medal champions from two sports! This will make for an electrifying weekend in downtown Minneapolis,” stated Steve Mattson, Target Center’s General Manager/Vice President.
“We explored every possible option and while we recognize this may create potential challenges, we wanted to do what we could to best accommodate the fans in both the Twin Cities and Omaha. We are very grateful for the support of both Target Center and CenturyLink Center,” added Chuck Steedman, Chief Operating Officer of AEG Facilities, which jointly operates the Tour with USA Gymnastics.
Tickets purchased for the originally scheduled Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions show date at Target Center will be honored at the new date. Refunds are available at the original point of purchase. More details will be released as available.
