Cargo Food Authority

MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 19, 2018) – Williston Holding Company (WHC) announced today that its newest shipyard-themed dining concept, Cargo Food Authority, will open on Nov. 20 at 5 p.m. Cargo Food Authority is a graffiti-tagged shipping container yard turned food authority debuting in downtown Minneapolis at Target Center. Cargo Food Authority offers international street food favorites, draft cocktails and craft brews – all in a shipping yard experience that includes pallet seating, large garage doors and industrial finishes.

The restaurant is located inside Target Center at 600 1st Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55403. Located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis’ vibrant sports and entertainment district, Target Center is home to the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves and four-time WNBA world champion Minnesota Lynx.

Created by WHC Chief Development Officer Brian Ingram, the restaurant features food containers for Asian, tacos, wings and pizza, in addition to draft cocktails and local beers on tap. The restaurant includes a stage for live entertainment and games like beer pong and basketball hot shot. Graffiti from local artists is also featured at the restaurant.

“Cargo Food Authority brings together a diverse range of international street food and drinks with a spacious shipping yard environment unlike anything in Minneapolis,” said Marcus Jundt, CEO of Williston Holding Company. “We’re eager to open at Target Center and offer eventgoers and downtown visitors a one-of-a-kind experience. We’re thrilled Brian is onboard and also working toward our next concept, Bus Stop Burgers & Brewhouse, to continue Williston Holding Company’s expansion plans.”

“One of the main goals of Target Center’s transformation over the past two years has been to improve the entertainment experience for our guests,” said David Schmid, Assistant General Manager of Target Center. “Cargo Food Authority does just that by providing new and innovative dining concepts and combining them with an urban décor that pays homage to both the history of the Warehouse District as well as the diversity of our Twin Cities community.”

Regular specials include a $10 lunch combo featuring a choice of tacos, pizza-rito, wings or giant egg roll with a soda or beer. The bar has daily happy hour with $3 well drinks and select draft beers from 3 to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close. “Happiest Hour” features $1 drafts Monday through Friday from 5 to 6 p.m.
